Passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 14th, 2018 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, in his 56th year

Was born June 20, 1962 to James Michael and Mary Alice Tobin (Murphy).

Sean grew up in Belleville until the family moved to Oshawa when Sean was in grade 8.

He went on to attend Paul Dwyer High School, and then to Durham College, receiving a diploma in Human Resources.

After graduation, he accepted a position in Toronto with the Bank of Montreal until he received a call from his father stating the CN was hiring.

The rest is history. He started a long and successful railroad career with CN at the Oshawa yard office as a yardman, and then became a locomotive engineer, soon transferring to VIA Rail, where he worked until retirement.

After his retirement, Sean enjoyed spending time with his sons, family and friends, renovating his house, riding his bike and shooting stuff (at the gun range).

He is survived by his two sons, Kevin and Brian Tobin, and his brothers and sisters: James Tobin, Mary Alice (Dee Dee) Tobin, Karen Tobin, Kevin Tobin (Mary Jane Hunter), Greg Tobin (Louise Atkinson), Mel Tobin (Marilyn Green), Gavin Tobin (Sarah Johnston) and many nieces and nephews: Michelle Wever, Sean Wever, Lindsay Tobin, Alicia Tobin, Andrew Tobin, Justine Tobin, Wesley Tobin, Justin Tobin, Dylan Tobin, Evan Tobin, Aden Tobin, Luke Tobin.
