Vasko SteveVASKO, Steve   - Age 96, peacefully passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Sunday, November 18, 2018.

He is survived by his loving wife Anne Vasko (nee Kot), his granddaughter, Kimberly MacLean, great grandsons, Jonathan and David Monsen; as well as brother George (Helen), nephew Joseph Vasko (Cheryl), and nieces Kathleen Vasko, Anne Marie Dietrich (Michael) and Linda Fraser.

Steve was predeceased by his first wife, Anne Vasko (nee Kanuck), his daughter, Mary MacLean (Robert), his parents, Peter and Mary Vasko, as well as two siblings, older brother Peter and younger sister Mary.

Steve is fondly remembered by all of his family, including many nieces and nephews, particularly John and Marilyn Kot as well as the staff and residents at both Wyndfield Retirement Home and Thorntonview Long Care Facility.

All those who knew him as a hardworking man who loved the church will remember Steve for the stories he told and the wisdom he loved to bestow.

Visitation is at  ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Friday, November 23 at 10:00am, followed by Mass at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Beatrice and Mary in Oshawa at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Whitby.

Donations can be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
