McKnight ForrestMcKNIGHT, Forrest (Lloyd) Alexander Mcknight  -  Passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Sunday January 6, 2019 in his 82nd year with his family by his side.

Forrest will be sadly missed by his loving wife Janet nee (Burnie).

Forrest was a Brother to Margaret (predeceased) Irene, Evie, and Sarah.

He was a devoted Father to Robert (Bonnie) Lynda (Greg), Jim (Debbie).

Forrest was a loving Papa to Ben (Allison), Luke (Melissa), Alanna, and Mike (Leah).

He also had many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

Forrest enlisted in the Canadian Army where he was a Corporal. He served with the Royal Canadian Signals “K” Troop where he entertained the troops by doing aerial acrobats on his motorcycle.

He is a former employee of General Motors where he was employed for over 30 years.

Forrest loved going to Florida for the winters. He was an avid motorcycle rider well into his senior years.

The biggest joy for Forrest was spending time with his family. He loved dogs and he missed very much his little companion Nugget.

Visitation will take place at DESTEFANO FUNERAL HOME 1289 Keith Ross Drive in Oshawa (905) 440 3595, on Friday Jan 11, 2019. From 2-4pm and 7-9pm.

Burial will take place in late spring in Miramichi, New Brunswick where he always called home.

Forrest had many health issues he had to contend with over the past several years.

He was such a strong and very determined man. He overcame many health struggles. The family would like to thank the kindness of St Elizabeth Home Care and the Personal Support Workers for their continual care.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or any organization that rescues dogs.
