ROBERTS, Brian Douglas  - Brian Douglas Roberts of Pickering, Ontario passed peacefully at home with his family on Friday January 11, 2019 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Beloved spouse of Janice Brandon, Stepfather to Tracey Tink (Brandon), Grandfather to Tyler and Courtney Tink.

Predeceased by Mother Margaret Roberts (Wiggin) and Father Douglas Roberts.

Survived by, Aunts Jean Earle (Roberts), Thelma Earle (Roberts) and Cousins.

Brian was born on November 11, 1947 in Toronto, Ontario to Margaret and Douglas Roberts. Brian enjoyed the simple pleasures of life surrounded by his love of nature and the love of the view from his back window watching the innocence of the wildlife that would visit frequently.

One of his most treasured places for over 71 years.

Many will recall his deep laugh and his profound way to connect with those around him.

Brian was a strong brilliant man who lived his life structured but filled with love for those dear to his heart. Although it is extremely heart breaking to lose such a beautiful soul, we can now feel at peace that his lengthy battle with cancer is done.

He was very private in his way and as such requested minimal gathering of friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, we are requesting that donations in memory of Brian, Dad and Grandfather to: Canadian Cancer Society.

Beyond financial donations, the family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, and support in many heart-felt forms from too many people to name individually but we do want to thank: Family, friends and neighbor’s through random acts of words and kindness.

We cannot thank you for all the love and care you have expressed.
