A free spirit who loved with all her heart, born in St. John’s Newfoundland before moving to New Brunswick and eventually settling in Ontario.
Passed away at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa on Thursday January 17, 2019, at the age of 60 after a courageous battle.
Her love burned brightest for her husband Percy and son Nicholas.
A dear sister-in-law to Frances (Don), Bertha and Robert and will be missed by her several nieces and nephews.
Her greatest loves were family and nature.
She was courageous, classy, compassionate, loving, funny, elegant, strong, intelligent and inspiring to all she knew. She gave all she had and then some. Known for her radiant smile, infectious laugh, happiness followed Dee wherever she went.
The world grows a little darker without her radiance.
Family and friends are welcomed to MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 21 Garrard Rd. Whitby for visitation on Monday January 21, 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m and for A Celebration of Dee’s Life which will also be held on Saturday January 26, 2019 from 2:30 – 6:00 p.m. with some sharing of memories to start at 3:00 p.m.
If desired, donations can be made to the World Wildlife Fund, Humane Society or Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Dee.
