BANKS, John Fraser - Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Toronto on Saturday, March 2, 2019 in his 80th year.
Beloved husband of Joanne for 47 years. Loving father of Heather (Justin Vaz), and Daniel “Dan” (Jenny).
Cherished grandfather of Madison and Ethan Vaz; Ava, Payton and Lauren Banks.
Lovingly remembered by his step-daughter Kim Hart, his step-grandchildren Talon, Candace, Brittany, Ryan and his great step-grandchildren Kyle, Malaya, Bridgette and Hailyn.
Dear brother of Mary Ellen Byne and Janet Banks. Fondly remembered by his nephews Adam and Scott, other family and friends.
John was an avid sports fan, especially for the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Argos. He was also very proud of the 50 years he spent umpiring kids baseball.
Visitation will be held at the Low and Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge, on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A private family service will be held at a later date.
If desired, donations in memory of John may be made to the MS Society, Spinal Cord Injury Ontario or the Rick Hansen Foundation.
