TOWNSEND, Ruth (nee Sawers) – Peacefully on Thursday March 14, 2019 at Fairview Lodge, Whitby, in her 105th year.
Ruth, beloved wife of the late Dr. Murray Pardo Townsend (1966).
Much loved mother of Richard Townsend (Sharon), Leslie Joynt (Peter), Mary Clark (Graham) and the late Ted Townsend (2013).
Proud “Grandma Ruth” to grandchildren; Jennifer (Dave), Craig (Claire), Sarah (Eli), Colin (Laura), Jessica (Fred), Lisa (Myles), Cameron (Saei), David (Allison), and great grandchildren; Max, Grace, Fiona, Nolan, Lisle, James, Lauren, Avery, Sloan, Luca, Duncan, Morgan, Dylan and Ewan.
Ruth will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all her family and many dear friends.
Friends may call at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Saturday March 23rd from 2 pm until Celebration of Life service at 3 pm.
Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by Ruth’s family.
