KIRBY, Catherine Mary - Age 73. Passed away peacefully on Saturday March 23, 2019 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
She was born on September 29th, 1945 in Toronto to Cecilia Laroque and William Culnan.
Catherine "Cathy" was a beautiful soul, a loving mother and grandmother.
She was a food service hostess at the Paint Plant at G.M. in Oshawa for many years.
Everyone at G.M. loved Cathy for her kindness and the generous portions she doled out.
Cathy loved to shop and go out to enjoy a meal. And of course.... her Pepsi! She was married to the late Kenneth Russ Kirby.
He deceased 5 years ago on the very same day of March 23rd. Cathy is survived by her 3 children; Debbie Ciurleo, Karen Trudel and Kevin Canavan.
As well as all of her grandchildren; Marcello, Claudio, Raymond, Patrick, Erin, Kayla, Liam, Abby and Lily. Cathy is also survived by her sister Irene Bissonette and her brother William Culnan.
Family, friends and others whos lives Cathy touched are invited to MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME 21 Garrard Road Whitby (905-443-3376) on Tuesday March 26th from 4 pm until 8 pm. and on Wednesday March 27th from 10 am until 11 am. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at 11 am.
Interment to follow at MOUNT LAWN CEMETERY.
Following the interment, there will be a reception in the Arbor Lounge.
Memorial donations may be made to the Lung Association or to the Alzheimer's Society.
