McNAB, Robert Gray  - In his 95th year, died peacefully on Friday, March 29, 2019 at Caressant Care Nursing Home in Lindsay, Ontario.

‘Bob’ McNab, was predeceased by his wife, Helen ‘Joan’ Tonkin, his parents, Robert and Barbara McNab and his brother, John ‘Ian’ McNab.

He is survived by his three children: Brian (Susan) of Kingston, James of Little Britain, and Alison Ayres (William) of Lindsay. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren: Traviss Ayres, Taylor Ayres, Cameron McNab, Graeme McNab and Lauryn (McNab) Doran.

Bob grew up in Oshawa, attended O’Neill C.V.I. and belonged to the Oshawa Shamrock Athletic Club. He also played the bass and was a member of Boyd Valleau and his Orchestra.

They played at the Jubilee Pavilion in Oshawa, as well as such places as Casa Loma in Toronto. Bob was a Captain in the Armed Forces during World War Two.

While in Port Perry, Bob practised dentistry until his retirement in 1992, was an active member of the Port Perry Lions Club and spent much of his free time either golfing or curling. He will be sadly missed by his family.

There will be a private celebration of Bob’s life. 

In memory of Bob, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
