SUDDARD, Jeanne D'arc Leona - February 7, 1931 - May 16, 2019.

It is with immense sadness that the family announce the passing of Jeanne D'arc Leona Suddard (nee Beaucage) in her 89th year after a short illness in Oshawa.

Jeanne is predeceased by her loving husband Frank (1992), her son Scott (2015) and her daughter-in-law Cyd (2009).

Also predeceased by siblings Rene, Madeleine, Raymond, Helene, Jeannette, Therese, Andre and Marguerite. Jeanne's memory will be cherished by her daughter Fran and her daughter-in-law Dagmar, and her granddaughter Stephanie (Daniel).

She will be sadly missed by her surviving siblings Aime, Simone and Nicole; her granddaughter Lena and children William and Hannah; her grandson Eric (Channon); her daughter Terra; and her grandson Michael.

Mom had a heart of gold and an open door to anyone needing a place to stay...be it a family member or a foster child. She always listed her occupation as "housewife" but she was oh so much more. When money was tight and renovations were needed, she taught herself to be a master carpenter, an excavator, a cement block mason, and a master drywaller.

Mom also handled the domestic side of things: cooking, gardening, preserving the home-grown produce, all the while raising three children and being a wife to Dad.

Once we kids were grown, Mom contributed greatly to the raising of her grandson Michael and granddaughter Stephanie.

She continued to be a source of support and much love to all of us in her later years. Heaven has gained a true Jill of All Trades, it'll be something to see what she does up there!!

As per Jeanne's wishes, no service will be held.

A special heartfelt thank you to the Supportive Care Unit's nurses and staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

Memorial donations in Jeanne's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Supportive Care Unit would be appreciated .
