MURPHY, Henry “Harry” - Of Ajax passed away on Thursday, May 23rd, 2019 at his home in Ajax at age 72.
Loving father of Lisa (Trevor) Poechman of Bowmanville and Jeff (Anya) Murphy of Whitby.
Cherished grandfather of Josh, Jenna, Meghan, and Rachel. Dear brother of Joanne Hough of Lindsay, Johnny (Mary) Murphy of North York, Patricia (Matthew Marosszeky) Murphy of Aurora, and Vernon Murphy of Port Hope and brother-in-law of Ron Struys of Toronto.
He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews, wonderful friends and extended family. Harry was predeceased by his wife Lynne (nee Sherrer); sister Marie Murphy; brothers Bryan Murphy and Bobby Murphy; brother-in-law Brian Hough and parents Rose and Vernon Murphy.
Harry was a dedicated educator for the Toronto Catholic District School Board for over 3 decades.
Harry's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, May 27th, 2019 at the Oshawa Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 28th, 2019 at 11:00 am at ST. FRANCIS DE SALES CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1001 Ravenscroft Road, Ajax.
