WANNAMAKER, Ivan David - passed peacefully in his sleep on Sunday May 26th, 2019 at Marnwood Life Care Centre – Bowmanville at the age of 87.
Pre-deceased by his wife Gertrude “Trudy” (nee: Marr).
Loving father of Cathy Vanderkooi (Rick). Step-father of the late Bob Storey.
Dear Papa to Sydney Vanderkooi. Remembered by Chris Vanderkooi and Lisa Page (Rob).
Pre-deceased by his sisters Meta Bruce, Ruby Fox, Dorothy Wagg (Tom), Beulah White (Calvin) and Vivian White (Murnie).
Ivan leaves behind many nieces and nephews and will be especially missed by Lew, Mary and Elizabeth (Marc). Ivan worked at General Motors for 30+ years.
He enjoyed his guitar and country music, loved his garden, farming, the horses, fishing and being outdoors.
Remembered fondly by his friends and family.
Visitation will be held at Morris Funeral Chapel, Bowmanville, on Thursday, May 30th, 2019 from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. Funeral will be held in the Chapel on Friday, May 31st, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. with visitation for one hour prior.
If so desired donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or Salvation Army – Bowmanville.
