McKAY, John 'Jack' - It is with heartfelt sadness, that we announce the unexpected passing of Jack on Tuesday June 18, 2019 at the age of 57.
Jack’s natural talent of making others laugh will be missed by all who knew him.
Devoted husband of Wendy for 30 years.
Proud father of Brianna (Cory) Galbraith and Krista (Christopher Tanner).
Adoring Papa of Kaylee and Alison Galbraith.
Cherished brother to David and Lori (Vaughn) Watson. Dear brother-in-law to Randy (Alyson) Stevenson and Sheri (Joe) Maynard.
Favourite Uncle to Nicole, Aaron, Jeffrey, Amanda and Daniel. He will also be dearly missed by his sidekick Bella.
Jack was a longtime employee of the Region of Durham and will be missed by his work family.
Jack‘s true passion was puttering on the farm in Newtonville, where he also enjoyed caring for his horses and ponies. Jack was truly selfless, and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.
His favourite thing to do at the end of a fulfilling day was to enjoy the view from the deck while sipping a well dressed caesar.
Family and friends may call at the W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 110 Dundas St E, Whitby (905-668-3410) on Monday June 24th from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. A memorial service will follow in the Chapel at 2:00pm.
