GANNON, Gayle Harold Allan   -  "Gayle" Gannon, age 82, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his children, on December 22, 2022, after a brief illness with cancer.

Born the only child of the late Wilfred and Estella (Pero) Gannon in the small hamlet of Newburgh, Ontario.

Gayle hitchhiked daily to Napanee District Secondary School, where he met and eventually married his high school sweetheart, Marilyn (Richardson, deceased 2013).

Following a short time with the Canadian Air Force in Winnipeg, Gayle moved with Marilyn to the Toronto area. While raising three children, Gayle graduated from York University with a degree in economics.

His career was highlighted with successes in direct selling and real estate relocation. He valued time spent with family and friends, reading, and travelling.

He was a lifelong active member of both Grace and Burns Presbyterian Church and served on the Board of Directors of several local organizations and charities. Gayle was devoted to the service of others. Loving father of Greg (Jennifer), Scott (Leslie) and Alison (Vince).

Cherished "Grandpa" of Liam, Luke, Brodie, Noah, Siena and Massimo.

Family was his greatest joy. Visitation will be January 3rd, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax. Funeral Service to follow the next day, January 4th, at 11 a.m. at Burns Presbyterian Church, 765 Myrtle Road West, Whitby.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hill House Hospice (www.hillhousehospice.com/donations) in Richmond Hill, would be much appreciated.
