NICHOLSON, Joan Victoria (née Binns) Nicholson - Passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the Royal Rose Place Long Term Care Home in Welland, Ontario.
Joan, in her 89th year, is now reunited with her beloved husband, the late Russell Nicholson.
Loving mother of Linda Thomson (Robert) and Robert Nicholson (Susan).
Proud Nana of Coady (Jessica) and James (Taylor), and Great-Nana of Oliver and Samuel. Joan is predeceased by her siblings Elinor (the late John), Alice (survived by Ted), Herb (survived by Joanne).
She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
The family would like to extend their thankfulness and gratitude to the staff the Royal Rose Place LTC for the care and compassion that Joan received while in their care.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 8th from 1:00p.m. until 4:00p.m. at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby. A funeral service will be held the following day at the Funeral Home, beginning at 2:00p.m. with interment to follow.
If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada.
