MORGAN, Marilyn Joan - (September 16, 1931 – January 3, 2023) -  It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Marilyn Joan Morgan, at the age of 91.

Joan was born in Highland Creek, Ontario, to Cecil Morrish and Evelyn Carnegie, on September 16, 1931.

Joan was predeceased by her husband, Lee Park Morgan; and brother, Allan Morrish. Joan married Lee on September 8, 1951 and remained happily married for 68 years until his passing on December 22, 2019.

Joan grew up on the family farm, went to public school at the SS No. 11 Stone School House (built in 1860) and attended church at the Centennial United Church, all in Highland Creek, Ontario. Before Joan and Lee were married, she worked for the Blue Cross in Toronto. Once married, they moved to Louisville KY, where Lee had become one of the Federal State Fire Marshals. A few years later, Lee, Joan and newly born son, Steven, returned to Ontario and built a house in Pickering, where she lived until 2023.

Joan is survived by her sons, Steven (Jill), Michael (Deborah), and Murray (Laura deceased); grandchildren, Lee (Meagan), Katherine, Brooke (Michael), Jordan, James and Ben; great-grandchildren, Margot, Clarke and William; nieces, Lynda and Suzy (Robert); nephews, Murl and John (Linda); grandnephews, Julian, Derek (Michelle), Travis (Karina) and Tim; grandnieces, Jade (David), Lauren, Sarah and Kandice; great-grandnieces, Allison, Sophie, Sarah, Kendall and Katie; and great-grandnephews, Teagan and William; as well as many Morrish and Carnegie family cousins.

Arrangements with McEachnie Funeral Home, Ajax, ON.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated.
