ZAWILINSKI, John T. Zawilinski   -  1945 - 2023  John died peacefully on Wednesday, January 4th, 2023 at Scarborough General hospital.

 

He is remembered with love by his wife Sharon, step-sons Damon Merkley(Sonia), Stephen Merkley(Cindi) and Brian Merkley(Carlie).

 

Much loved Poppa to Mason, Tristin and Brooke.

He is predeceased by parents Bronice and Boleslaw “Bill” John, who came to Canada in 1948 along with thousands of others displaced by World War II. (Or came to Canada in the aftermath of World War II).

John first graduated from Ryerson Polytechnical in 1971 and then returned to obtain his Bachelor of Technology degree in 1982. He enjoyed a 33 year career at Health Canada, retiring in 2005.

 

He discovered motorcycling in the 70s with the Oshawa Motorcycle Club and through those years developed life long friendships.

 

John was a loving, fun and kind man who leaves behind beautiful memories.

The funeral service in remembrance of John will be private although a celebration of life will be announced at a later date
