TIBENSKY, Sharen   -  On Monday April 17, 2023 at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa, Ontario, Sharen Tibensky, (nee Price), was called home in her 72nd year.

Sharen was the eldest daughter of Roland Fredrick ‘Roy’
Price and ‘Evelyn’ Hazel Agnes Price (nee Morrison), both predeceased.

Sharen was the beloved wife of Jan Tibensky, (predeceased), loving mother to Jan-Paul Tibensky, (Monique St.
Jean), and cherished ‘Babka’ grandmother to John Isaac 8 years old and Johanna Clare, 6 years old. Sharen will be lovingly missed by her siblings: Dale Price (Barb), Cindy O’Donovan (Pat), Vince Price, (Erin), and Laurie Burke (Paul).

Sharen will be held dear in the hearts of her many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She will be fondly remembered by her friends, and by her former students and colleagues.

(Sharen was a retired teacher from the Durham District School Board).

Sharen’s greatest love was her family and she cherished her time with her grandchildren more than words can express.

Although our hearts are truly saddened, they are somewhat at peace knowing that Sharen is now free from pain having suffered for more than a decade with compromising health issues. She was ever brave in her fight to be well and never asked for sympathy nor pity.

She fought the good fight. It is for certain that this loss forever changes our family. Born on Remembrance Day 1951, going forward we will remember her on that special day, all the more.

Sharen passed close to sunset as she journeyed home. The sun has set on an amazing life.
Love has no age, no limit and no death.

Cremation has taken place.  Burial will take place at Thornton Cemetery at 1pm on Saturday, June 24, 2023 with a Celebration of life to follow at 2pm at the Thornton Dundee Hall, 210 Thornton Road North, Oshawa.

Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation are appreciated.
