OWEN, Jack  - 

March 8, 1936  - May 26, 2023

 

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden yet peacefully passing of Jack Owen. 

 

He passed away with his loving family by his side. 

 

Jack leaves behind his high school sweetheart and wife of 64 years Marilyn and his children Kim Owen (Paul), Bill Owen (Kim) and Kelly van den Berg (Eckhard). 

 

He will be forever missed by his Grandchildren Jenna Owen (Steven), Kelsey Owen-Cooper (Trenton), Mitchell van den Berg and Alex van den Berg. 

 

He always looked forward to their visits and was so very proud of them all. 

 

Predeceased by his parents Bill and Melba Owen and his cherished sister Wilma Bryan and her husband Roy. 

 

Brother-in-law to Joan (deceased) and her husband Don Mark.  Loving uncle to many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Jack was born on March 8, 1936 at the Owen Family Farm, Port Perry. 

 

A forever Port Perry resident, over the years he developed many close and lifelong friendships. 

 

He was a life member of the Port Perry Curling Club and a GM Retiree. 

 

Well known for his kind nature, big heart and love of all sports.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

 

Private family servicew will take place in Port Perry.

 

We love you and we will miss you.
