McSTRAVICK, Elizabeth Rose McStravick  - 

1939 - June 7, 2023 

 

Peacefully with family by her side Betty passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa shortly after her 84th birthday.

 

Loving mother to Kathie Stoute (Peter). Beloved Grandma to Brian, Shannon, and Connor (Rachel).

 

Cherished sister to Mary Goodwin (Tom), and Susan Smith (Terry).

 

Predeceased by her parents Rose & Jack McStravick and brother Bill.

 

Betty will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.   

 

Betty was a proud retiree of Ontario Hydro after many years of dedicated service.

 

She lived her life with honour and integrity. Her devotion to, and compassion for her family was demonstrated time and again by her loyalty in times of illness or difficulties. Betty had a flair for decorating and a passion for all things sweet often treating her grandchildren to ice cream after a surprise trip to a home décor store.    

 

She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held at McEachnie Funeral Home on Monday, June 12th from 6 – 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Bernadette’s Roman Catholic Church (21 Bayly Street East, Ajax) on Tuesday, June 13th at 10:30 a.m.
