ENSS, Karen Marie  -

June 22, 1954 - July 4, 2023

On July 4th Karen Marie Enss passed away at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa.

Karen was creative and an artist through and through, with many, varied and evolving interests.

Felting, painting, wood carving, rock collecting, knitting, kayaking, snow shoeing, bird watching and photography were all among her passions.

She thoroughly enjoyed her years as the Board Chair of the Brock Township Library and all her contributions to her community.

Her own children, and her children’s children, were her pride and joy. The love she gave was returned threefold.

Karen was born in 1954 to John and Mary Labonté, now deceased. She is survived by a broad and loving family including her loving husband Bo Reinhard Enss, her children and their spouses: Matthew (Laura), Daniel (Kimberly), Raina (Derek), Rhiannon (Taylor), and Gabriel (Lior), and her grandchildren whom she adored and spoiled, Rowan, Sebastian, Wesley, Terrin, Amara, Micah, and Isaac.

Karen spent her life as the beloved sister of Alice, Michele, Marylou, Joe, Tim, Johnny, and Patrick. She loved and valued her family, all her sisters and brothers through marriage and birth, and her many nieces and nephews spread far and wide. And now, Karen has gone to join her daughter Tegan in heaven.

Visitation will be held at the Mangan Funeral Home on Wednesday July 12th from 5-8 P.M. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Beaverton on Thursday July 13th at 11A.M.

If so desired memorial donations to Canuck Place, Brock Township Library or to the Hospital for Sick Children would be greatly appreciated by the family.
