LeBlanc EmileLeBLANC, Emile (Bill) Lionel Joseph  -

Went to be with the Lord on July 5th, 2023, in his 93rd year, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

Emile leaves behind his beloved wife of 64 years, Edith (Stone).

He will be sorely missed by his children: Charlie (Devon), Stanley (Melody), Linda McGill, Jerry (Cheli), and Richard (Kristine).

He was the proud grandfather to 12 grandchildren, and 8 Great Grandchildren.

He is also survived by his nephew Leo, and nieces Adette, Stella, and Freda.

He is predeceased by his parents Arthur and Sara LeBlanc, his siblings Gerald and Laurianne, both of Moncton, Bernadette (Dartmouth), and twins Sara and Alphee (Moncton).

As well as his in-laws Charlie and Alice Stone.

Emile is a retired General Motors employee of 43.3 years.  He was also an avid Euchre player with the OSSC and loved bingo and bowling too. His favourite hockey team was The Montreal Canadiens.

As a young boy he played hockey in Moncton while growing up on a dairy farm.  That was not the life he wanted.

He drove busses in Moncton until he heard that General Motors was hiring so he and ten of his friends came to Ontario.

Emile worked as Machine Repair.  Emile, speaking only French, had to learn English quickly when he met Edith.

While he enjoyed travelling back to New Brunswick to visit his homestead and to see his friends, he loved the life he made in Ontario.

Emile loved watching his children and grandchildren play sports.  He was a man of few words, but he was very generous.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend for visitation at McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Sunday, July 16th, 2023, from 5-7p.m.  The funeral will take place in the funeral home chapel on Monday, July 17th at 1p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Interment Union Cemetery, Oshawa.

Donations in memory of Bill to Alzheimer Society of Durham Region or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
