KELLY, Valerie (nee Brigham) Kelly  -

April 21, 1946 -  August 13, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Valerie Kelly at the age of 77.

Born in Hull, England, and after a courageous battle with cancer, she left us in Bowmanville, Ontario.

Valerie lived a life full of passion, strength, and love.

She was a beacon of resilience and determination, qualities that endeared her to all who knew her, especially her loving husband, Pat Kelly.

Valerie is survived by her devoted husband, Pat, her sons, Sean (Kerry) and Steven, and her cherished grandchildren, Tyler (Emily) and Meghan.

Each of them carries forward her legacy of love, strength, and a touch of that fiery spirit she was so well-known for.

A lover of life's simple pleasures, Valerie relished her winters in Florida, the thrill of casinos and keeping Pat on his toes.

Her zest for life was palpable, making her the unforgettable, strong woman that many came to know and love.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the care and compassion shown to Valerie by the staff at Bowmanville Hospital Complex Continuing Care.

In lieu of a traditional service, as per Valerie's wishes, there will be no formal gathering. However, her life and memories will forever be celebrated by those who loved her.

If you would like to donate to a charity in memory of Val, their favourite charity is the organization that looked after the unfortunates and unwanted long before it became fashionable to do so – the Salvation Army.
