DYWAN, David Peter Dywan  - The family of David Dywan of Toronto, is profoundly saddened to announce Dave’s passing on September 16, 2023 at the age of 73.

Dave will be lovingly remembered by his brother Michael and sisters Beverly (Chris Sumpton) and Anne Dywan, nephews Mathew and Jeffrey Dywan, Bryn Sumpton (Thuy Lam) and niece Riel Sumpton, great nephews Jared, Jordan and John Dywan, Uncle Ken and Aunt Louise Hills, numerous cousins, along with dear friends including Monika and Bill Brennan. Predeceased by father, John Dywan, mother Margaret Dywan and brother Gordon Dywan.

Some of Dave’s fondest memories were from his years as a great athlete in football and wrestling, which earned him recognition as Athlete of the Year at Gordon Graydon High School in the 1970’s.

Dave’s later years were beset with medical complications; however he never indulged in self pity, maintaining his enjoyment of sports and a big hockey fan and was often found re-telling tales with warm memories of friends and events from his better days. Although in the end Dave’s heart was compromised, his was always a loving one.

To our quirky, funny and beloved dearest David, we will miss you forever more and wish you much love and great peace on your journey ahead.

Following the interment at Mount Hope cemetery, we invite family and friends for a Celebration of Dave, on September 30th 2023 at 1pm in Toronto, to honour and share in our collective memories together.
