McDOUGALL, John Douglas "Doug" - (35 years with the Durham District School Board)
Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa with family by his side on Thursday September 28th, 2023 at the age of 88.
Beloved husband of Gloria for 64 years. Loving Dad of Bob (Lois) and Gord (Lynn).
Fun loving and inspirational Grandpa of Kristie Lynn (Jason), Michael (Brittney) Graham and great-grandfather of Gavin.
Predeceased by his parents Neil and Grace McDougall.
Doug will be missed by extended family and friends. Doug was passionate about teaching geography to his students and travelling with his family.
Some of Doug’s hobbies included woodworking, photography and model trains.
Doug was a lifelong member of Simcoe Street United Church spending over 35 years in the choir. He was a past president of Kiwanis Club Sydenham.

Relatives and friends may attend a visitation at McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD, 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Tuesday October 3rd, 2023 from 7 – 9 pm.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday October 4th at 11 am in the funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Doug to Simcoe St. United Church, Alzheimer Society of Durham Region or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
