JAMES, June Sylvia James - June passed away peacefully at Glen Hill Terrace in Whitby on Thursday October 19, 2023 in her 91st year.
Beloved wife of Bill, they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on October 9th.
Born and raised in Carleton Place, Ontario, she and Bill lived in Courtice for more than 65 years. Much loved mother of Jennifer James (Lynn Mutton), Donald (Nancy Walker), Glenn (Shelley), and son-in-law Wayde Preston (Lisa Byers). Proud grandmother to Victoria (Ali), Ben, Patrick (Amy), Georgina (Randy) and Ellen (Dylan).
Sister to Judy (Don) Fisher and Gloria (Bob) Parno, and sister-in-law to Norma Stanzel, Jane Ann and John Chamney and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Special friend to Melanie Abbott. June was predeceased by her daughter Sheila James; parents, Benjamin and Edith Stanzel; siblings Beth (Keith) Morris, Joyce (Mac) Saunders, and Mervyn; and brother-in-law Benjamin James.
