Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, December 15th, 2023 at 89 years of age.
Beloved wife of the late Gerald.
Betty will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kathy (Jim) Roughley, Jeannie Kelso, Elaine Brown, Peter Harris, Ken (Margaret) Harris; stepchildren, Bill (Sherrie) Bursey, Donald (Janice) Bursey, Tanya (Paul) Magnan, Steven Bursey; grandchildren, Paige (Kyle) Roughley, Rob (Adelyn) Roughley, Susan (Ryan) Kelso, Jayne (Vince) Eudemoni, Andrea Brown, Tyler (Meghan) Brown, Derrick (Aimee) Brown, Alexsander Harris, Wade (Sara) Harris, Peter Jr. (Carolyn) Harris, Adam (Maria) Harris, Jessica, Jean-Paul, Luc, Ian, Mitchell, Megan, Tanya-Jean; great-grandchildren, Ila, Amelia, Preston, Harrison, Elizabeth and Mitchell, Alissa, Matthew, James, Oliver, Elizabeth, Eric and Enya.
Dear sister of Peggy Felskie and predeceased siblings, Mona Crook and Eric Mayne.
She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Betty was actively involved in Wellington United Church and enjoyed singing, gardening, sweets and family gatherings. In later years she enjoyed life to the fullest in Apsley, Newfoundland and Wellington.
Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Saturday December 23rd from 10:30 am until time of the service in the chapel at 12:30 pm. Interment to follow at Thornton Cemetery. Following Interment, a reception will be held at the Oshawa Funeral Home (Heritage Room).
