SAUMUR, Albert "Bert"  -  With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Albert “Bert” Saumur on February 4, 2024.

Loving husband to Carolyn.

Proud father to Kimberley (John), Darren (Kelly) and Bernadette (Neale). Adoring “père” to Ashlyn, Jackson, Aaron, Spencer and Reese.

Brother to Carol-Anne, Pierrette and Gilles. Predeceased by his parents Wilfrid and Blanche Saumur, and sister Paulette. Bert will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all his family and friends.

Bert's journey began in South Porcupine, Ontario, where he was born. A move to Toronto during his youth marked the beginning of a beautiful chapter, one where he encountered and eventually married the love of his life, Carolyn.

Bert's life was a symphony of love, laughter, and cherished moments, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that will be forever treasured by those who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are welcome to gather at McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Pickering Village, on Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at McEachnie Funeral Home, followed by a burial at Pine Ridge Memorial Gardens and reception at Funeral Centre.
