BURNS, Donald H. - Peacefully and surrounded by his family, our beloved father passed away on February 5, 2024 at the age of 94 years.

Survived by his children, Kevin (Francine), Karen (Cliff) and Tricia, and his siblings Patricia, Kathleen (Bill) and Joann.

He was predeceased by his loving wife Marjorie and son Tim (1988), his siblings Larry, Connie, Brenda and Jimmy.
Proud Grandfather of Rixa, Connor, Rachelle, Andy, Cory, William, Vincent and Anthony and great Grandfather to Georgia and Jax.

Longtime companion of Beverley White.

Born and raised in Montreal, Don was a proud Irish Canadian who was hard working, fun loving, eternally optimistic and devoted to his family.

He enjoyed Irish music and traditions. For many years he walked in the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Montreal alongside his uncle and adoptive father Jimmy.

Don had many impressive accomplishments over the years. One that he was especially proud of was the establishment of Little League baseball in Chomedey, Quebec in the early 1960's.

A devout Catholic, he was actively involved for many years in church activities for Holy Name of Jesus Parish in Laval.

He loved to travel and enjoyed many summers at Belmont Lake with Bev and her family.

Sincere thanks to Garry J. Armstrong LTC, especially the 6th Floor, Gatineau House staff, for their wonderful care and compassion.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.

Visitation at McEachnie Funeral Home on February 15, 2024, 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM.
