STRACHAN, Stephen Ronald Strachan  -  With heavy hearts, the family shares the news of the peaceful passing of Stephen (Steve) Ronald Strachan on Sunday, February 18th, 2024, at the age of 66.

Stephen was a beloved father to Ryan (Leslie), Derek (Amanda), Cody (Kirsten), and Megan (Travis).

He was also a devoted grandfather to Caitlyn, Cloe, Oaklyn, Isabella, and Zane.

Steve held a special place in his heart for his companion, Cindy Phillips.

Steve, survived by his parents Ronald and Annette (nee Hedges) Strachan, is fondly remembered and loved. He was a beloved brother to Linda Binning (John), Cheryl Cooper (Paul), Karen Strachan (Dave), and Michael.

Steve leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family who hold him dear in their hearts.

Throughout his life, Steve touched the lives of countless individuals through his involvement in hockey, motor-cross racing, travel, and social gatherings.

As the proud former owner of Strack’s Smokin’ Grill, his absence will be deeply felt by both local and distant acquaintances.

The family expresses heartfelt appreciation for the love and support received during these difficult times.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the coming months.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully accepted.
