WARD, Mary (Flood) Ward  -  Mary was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.

 

She left this world after extended health battles on March 14, 2024 at age 75 surrounded by close family and friends.

She was born to George and Anne Flood on August 11, 1948 in Grand Falls, NFLD.

 

Mary moved to Toronto at the young age of 19, where she met her first husband, William Kelly.

 

Together, they had 3 children: Rob, Kim, and Billy.

 

Mary loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family.

 

She was an exceptional hard worker at various retail positions throughout the years. When not cooking or working, she was busy cleaning, ensuring a spotless home always.

 

Mary’s first joys were her siblings and her children, but recent years grandchildren and great grandchildren overflowed her heart.

 

She was extremely proud of her family and everyone’s accomplishments large and small. Mary leaves to mourn husband Robert Ward, with fond and loving memories her son Rob, daughter Kim (Greg), former daughter in law Jenn (Dave), former daughter in law Brenda (Ryan), grandchildren Eden, Sarah, Matthew, Mogi and great grandchildren Chase, Riggs, and Shya.

 

Mary leaves behind sisters Carmel, Brenda, Linda, & Shirley; brother Alphonsus (Butch). She held special friend Judy Bolt close to her heart as well as the entire Kelly family.

 

Mary was predeceased by her parents George & Anne Flood; son William (Billy), great grandson Hawk, sisters Doreen, Betty, Margaret, Barb, Gloria and Helen.

 

Brothers Jack, Gerald, Terry, and Edward.

 

Arrangements with Mount Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery.

 

As expressions of sympathy donations in her memory can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Lakeridge Health Centre Oshawa or the charity of your choice.
