MURPHY, Marilyn - It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Marilyn Murphy, passed away peacefully at Northumberland Hospital, on Friday March 22nd 2024, at the age of 82 years.
Marilyn is predeceased by her late husband Bob Murphy and her son Rob Murphy.
Marilyn is survived and lovingly remembered by her two daughters Jackie (Dave) Murphy and Susan (Darby) Braun as well as her grandchildren: Kaley (Nick), Ryan (Jennifer), Mitchell (Meagan), Zackery (Jessica), Holly (Ratu), Tristen, Carter, Mckenna and nine great-grandchildren: Kieran, Nolan, Nathan, Kailtlin, Jackson, Mylah, Adeline, Everette and Mason.
Marilyn was a devoted wife, caring sister, loving mother, and cherished grandmother and great-grandmother.
Born on December 19th, 1941 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Marilyn’s life was dedicated to her family and faith. She spent most of her life in Bowmanville where she was known and loved by so many in the community.
A visitation will be held at Morris Funeral Home, Bowmanville, on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. A service will immediately follow at 1:00pm.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all of the doctors and nurses at Northumberland Hospital as well as all of the staff of Regency Retirement Home for their kindness, support and care.
As an expression of sympathy memorial contributions may be made in name of Marilyn to Breast Cancer Canada or Diabetes Canada.
