BATES, Gerald Bradley Bates -
April 12, 1935 – March 28, 2024
Peacefully, with his girls by his side, in his 89th year, on March 28, 2024, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
Gerry, was predeceased by Lorna, his loving wife of 56 years.
Gerry was a dear father to Kelly and Kim. Caring grandfather to Emily and Mary-Anne (Ryan) and great grandfather to Rory. Gerry was a devoted brother to Tony (Eileen), David (Marie) and his only sis Dorothy.
He was a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews in England and Canada.
Gerry was predeceased by his parents Leonard and Hilda of Birmingham, England.
He will be greatly missed by his many friends in the UK and Canada.
A special thanks to the staff at Lakeridge Health Ajax and Oshawa, the nurses and PSWs at Glen Hill Terrace for the care they provided. A Celebration of Life will be held for Gerry at a date to be determined.
