Passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Tuesday September 6, 2016
Beloved husband of Helen (nee Osborne).
Loving father of Murray (Willie) Hammond, Sharon (Michael) Self, Deborah (Dan) Brock and Brian (Marie) Hammond.
Cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Chris Broad), Melanie Hammond (Wayne Edwards), Andrea Self (Eric Freeman), Andrew Self, Amanda (Stewart) Dolstra, Katelyn Brock (Chris Jopson), Julia Hammond, Katherine Hammond and great-grandfather of Connor & Sarah Broad and Emmett Dolstra.
Predeceased by his parents Fannie & Arthur, brothers Dean & Ronnie Hammond and sisters Lois (Frank) White and Inez Powell.
Survived by his sister Dorell (Harry) Brightwell, brother Orville (Audrey) Hammond and sisters in law Betty Hammond & Betty Hammond.
Visitation will be held at TRINITY UNITED CHURCH, 116 Church Street on Tuesday September 13th, 2016 from 11 am – 2 pm.
A Funeral Service will follow at 2 pm.
Memorial Donations may be made to Trinity United Church (Organ Fund) or The Diabetes Association.
