Czyz RozaliaCZYZ, Rozalia "Rose" (nee Pasternak) - (December 12, 1925 – March 6, 2017) 


- It has been seven years on March 6, 2023, since you left us to be in heaven with God.  We miss you dearly, and when God calls us, we each will greet you with open arms. ...Loving you forever.  Your precious children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. -


Passed away on Monday, March 6th, 2017, lovingly surrounded by her family, at Extendicare, Oshawa.

 

Beloved and loving wife of the late Joseph Czyz.

Forever missed by her children Walter Rebot (Sharon), Romana Owens (Garry), Dr. Morris Rebot (Lidia, predeceased), and predeceased by her youngest son John Rebot.  Predeceased by her children’s father, Stanley Rebot.

 

Cherished and forever loved “Baba” of grandchildren Karen (Mike Rivers), Christa (David Gunn), Stephanie (Steve Tarling), Natalie (Bart Lipski), Laura (Mike Homans), and Kristian Owens (Krista). 

 

Blessed with seven great-grandchildren; Ally and Zach Rivers, Gavin and Dawson Gunn, Duncan and Griffin Tarling, and Chloe Estes.  'Her family has since welcomed Adrianna Homans and Harrison Owens.'

 

Also left to mourn are her numerous close family friends and relatives, as well as lifelong friends and fellow members of St. George’s Ukrainian Catholic Church and the UCWL.

 

Rose leaves behind a legacy of lifetime commitment and devotion to her family and her faith.

 

Our deepest gratitude for the kindness, care and professionalism Rose and her family received from the staff at Cedarcroft Retirement Place, and in her last two months, at Extendicare, where staff went above and beyond to ensure her care and comfort.

 

Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, March 10th from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. with Panahyda at 7:30 p.m.

 

Funeral Service will be held at ST. GEORGE THE GREAT MARTYR UKRAINIAN CATHOLIC CHURCH (597 Albert Street, Oshawa) on Saturday, March 11th at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Wolodymyr and St. Olha Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.

 

If so desired, donations in Rose’s memory may be made to St. George the Great Martyr Ukrainian Catholic Church.
