      Ontario Junior Hockey League, Whitby Fury Junior A Hockey Club, in conjunction with Mount Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, invite the community to sign a guestbook of condolence at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby in memory of the players and team personnel who lost their lives in Humboldt, Saskatchewan.

    The book will be available daily from  9 a.m. - 8 p.m. until Monday, April 23rd, at which time the book will be sent to the OJHL offices to be sent to the team in Saskatchewan

HumboldtStrong BannerA book of remembrance and support has been placed in the lobby of the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME for residents of Oshawa, Whitby and Clarington. This will be sent to the community of Humboldt to show our support and solidarity.

Feel free to add to our memorial in front of the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME.

Hockey sticks will be donated to support minor hockey in our community.

As well, OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL and DIGNITY MEMORIAL will make a donation to support Minor Hockey for every stick collected.

George DonaldGEORGE, Donald Robert  - 1942 - 2017

Passed away after a long battle with COPD on July 14, 2017.

Don is truly loved and will be deeply missed by his children Deborah, Darrin, and David.

Don was a talented Torontonian boy who began his singing career in the late 1950s. 

Don was lead singer and guitar player with many bands. 

Don is a Christ follower who taught his children the importance of true love! 

His is singing now in heaven!

Cremation services will be entrusted to DESTEFANO FUNERAL HOME, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport) 905-440-3595.

In keeping with Don’s wishes, private family services will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017, please contact the family.

In memory of Don, donations may be made to Bridgepoint Health.

Memories may be shared at  destefanofuneralhomes.ca.
