HELWIG, Dr. Lynn Bruce, D.V.M. - (February 27, 1929 - July 11, 2017) -

Lynn died peacefully at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry.

Deeply loved husband of Joan for 61 years. Loving father of Christel Helwig and loved father-in-law of Ed Ellison.

 "Bunka" to grandchildren Hannah and Ben Goodman of Toronto.

Predeceased by mother Lucinda Schneider and father Lynn Sr. of Neustadt, Ontario and brothers Harry, Rodney, Homer, Howard, Paul, Larry and Glen. Sadly missed by canine friend Cedar Moon. Many nieces and nephews will remember Uncle Lynn.

He enjoyed the friendship of sisters-in-law Ruth, Gwen, Laurene, Susan and longtime friends Margaret Barr, Ann Clarke and Ross McMillan.

Lynn was a member of Spring Garden Baptist Church – North York for 61 years.

If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque through Wagg Funeral Home, Port Perry, to the Ontario Veterinary College, Guelph.
