McCASKELL, Gladys Muriel (nee Whitfield)  - December 2, 1925 – July 28, 2017 -

At Markham Stouffville Hospital on Friday, July 28, 2017 in her 92nd year.

Predeceased by Don, her loving husband of almost 50 years and her siblings, Cowden, Annie and Helen.

Survived by her children, Tim (Richard) and Lisa (Pedro).

Gladys lived a full and happy life, teaching piano for more than 30 years in Beaverton and playing an active role in her church and many community organizations. She left Beaverton to move to Amica Swan Lake in Markham after Don died and had many good years with friends there.

Many thanks to the staff at Swan Lake who provided her with so much care and support in her last years.

Also thank you to the nursing and medical staff at Markham Stouffville who treated her with care and respected her wishes. Family and friends will be received at the Mangan Funeral Home, 332 Osborne Street, Beaverton on Friday, August 25, 2017 from 11 AM until 12:30 PM., followed by a memorial service at 1 PM.

A private family interment will be held in Beaverton.

If so desired, memorial donations in memory of Gladys, to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
