BEATTIE, James  - Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland on November 30th, 1946 and passed away at his home in Newcastle, Ontario surrounded by his wife and family after a hard fought battle with cancer on Friday, August 25th, 2017 at the age of 70.

Beloved husband of Marjorie for 49 years.

Loving father of Stephen (Tina), Iain (Shelley) and Jennifer (Goley). Cherished grandpa of 7 grandchildren.

Dear brother of Eddie (Cathy) of Brooklin, Ontario, Sandra (Eric) of Belfast, Ireland, and Mary (Jackie) of Belfast, Ireland. Jim will be missed by all of his friends and family in Ireland, as well as his many friends in Ontario.

A Celebration of life will take place at the Wheelhouse at Wilmot Creek at a later date. Arrangements with Newcastle Funeral Home.

Donations made to the Bowmanville Hospital Foundation – Palliative Care would be greatly appreciated.
