WILBUR, Hillis - (Retired from GM Oshawa with over 40 years’ service. 30 plus years with Port Perry Minor Hockey as a Director, Coach and Manager. 50 plus years as Caretaker and Member of the Utica Cemetery Board.)
Peacefully, after a short illness on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at the Markham Stouffville Hospital, at age 78.
Hillis “Hilly” Wilbur, beloved husband of Carol (nee Beare) for 57 years. Loved father of Scott (Shelley), Todd (Carolyn) and Lee (Shannon). Loving grandfather of Brittany, Jenna, Kaylee and Tyler.
Dear brother of Glenn Wilbur (deceased) and Dorothy Smith and stepbrother of Pauline Pavlik (Charlie), and Noreen Middlemiss (Bill) and brother-in-law of Barry Beare (Joan). He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family of Hillis Wilbur will receive friends at the Scugog Community Centre Hall in Port Perry on Sunday, February 18th from 2 – 3:30 pm. followed by a Service in Celebration of Hilly’s life at 3:30 p.m.
Private interment Breadalbane Cemetery, Utica.
