Sutherland LindaSUTHERLAND, Linda Dwayne (nee Fralick) - Sunrise: July 6, 1942 - Sunset: February 10, 2018 - While in slumber at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital, February 10, 2018, Linda succumbed to the devastating cancer she has courageously tried to eradicate for many years.

Loving daughter of Ivah and Cecil Fralick, both deceased.

She is survived by her beloved daughter Quinn, son Christopher and granddaughter Stephanie Modd; sisters Dianne Cairns (Jim) and Sylvia Weber (Brian); brother-in-law Tom Sutherland; niece Taira Cairns (Mike); nephews Adam Cairns (Joy), Marc and Derek Weber (Blair), Tyler and Sean (Julia) Sutherland; grandniece Eleanor Sutherland; grandnephews Dylan Milan, Cole and Hayden Cairns; great-grandnephew Odin Weber.

Dear friends Mary Ellen Wilson (Ted), Fran Affleck, Helen Hambly, Ann Marie Aaskew (Perce), Fay Koss; the wonderful friends in her CRS Group and the Bridge Club.

Linda’s passion for travel took her to many faraway places, her favourites being Greece, Rio de Janeiro and China. The place most-dear to her heart was the family farm by the lake on Scugog Island, where she was raised.

Linda started work at GM right out of high school and eventually retired from that same company. She then went on to work part-time for many years until her health failed. A busy lady, she enjoyed lots of activities such as travel, theatre, singing, playing cards, shopping for bling and clothes and being with people. She loved driving her car with the top down on balmy, moonlit, summer nights, taking pleasure in the peace and tranquility.

Forever young-at-heart and generous with her laughter and beautiful smile, she will be mourned and sadly missed by family and the many, many friends who love her and value the wonderful memories she has given us to keep.

A Celebration of Life will be held in memory of Linda, on Sunday, March 11, 2018, 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM, at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby, ON L1N 3K4.
