GILLESPIE, Lillianne Marie Margeurite (nee Salvas) - Passed away peacefully on March 30, 2018 with her family by her side after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Loving wife of Ernest Gillespie for 57 years.
Mother of Lisa Fasken (Warren), Anne Read (Steve), and Paul Gillespie (Danielle).
Proud Nana of Emily, Mark, Leanne, William, Christopher, and Julia. Loving sister of Roland Salvas.
Prior to being a wonderful Mom, Lillianne was a teacher with the Roman Catholic School Board, and many years later became a teacher with the adult ESL program.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hillsdale Estates for their compassionate and loving care, as well as her PSW and friend Nuala Beattie.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson’s Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME , 847 King Street West, (905-721-1234) on Tuesday April 3rd from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday April 4th at 11:00 a.m.
