MCCONVEY, Brigitte "Gitte" (nee Andersen)  - It is with the greatest sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Brigitte on Wednesday April 11, 2018.

Brigitte was born in Copenhagen, Denmark on December 29, 1961.

She spent summers as a child visiting her father in Canada and decided to immigrate at the age of 17. She loved her life here in Canada but always remained proud of her “Viking” heritage. Brigitte was a beautiful and kind person, she did not have a bad bone in her body.

She greeted all she met with a bright smile and a big hug. She was an excellent cook and loved to entertain family and friends. She loved spending time at the trailer. She loved dogs, her “Charlie” was very special to her. Most of all she loved her family.

Her husband John and daughters Melissa and Samantha were the greatest loves of her life. They will miss her more than words can describe.

Brigitte will also be greatly missed by her loving father Andy Andersen (Patricia), her mother Hanne Louring (Ernst), her sister Anne-Marie, brothers Peter and Brian. Brigitte was a loving Aunt to her nieces and nephews; Senga, Caileen, Evan, Cameron, Braydon, Cailyn, Hannah and Jaydon. She was a beloved sister in law to Ann (Brian), Donald, Deborah (John). She was a very dear friend to many.

For those who wish, flowers are welcome or a donation to the Durham Humane Society in Brigitte’s memory.

Visitation with the family will be held on Friday April 20, 2018 at the McEachnie Funeral Home, Ajax, from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday April 21, 2018 in the chapel with a reception to follow at the Ajax Wanderers Rugby Club, 1717 Harwood Rd. N Ajax. A “Danish Lunch” will be served in her honor.
