AVERY, Stephen Richard 'Steve'  - It is with broken hearts the family announces Steve’s sudden passing after a short illness, at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Saturday, May 5, 2018 in his 47th year.

Steve will be greatly missed by his son Foster, partner Diane Danis, mother Penny, and father Rick Caranci (Debbie).

Steve grew up in North Bay and will be remembered by his childhood friends Steve Duchesne, Randy Peterman, his close community friends Mike Smith (Anne) and Brenda Wilson.

Steve was a paramedic in Toronto and Durham for 26 years and a volunteer firefighter in Kawartha Lakes for 17 years.

He will be sadly missed by all his former colleagues as well as other family, close friends and neighbours.

Steve loved hockey and was an enthusiastic fan of the Manvers Mustangs. He was also an avid camper and enjoyed many summers in the Diver Area.

Family and friends may call at the Low and Low Funeral Home, Port Perry, on Friday, May 11th from 5 p.m. until the time of service in the chapel at 7 p.m. A reception will follow on the upper level.

In memory of Steve, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Children’s Wish Foundation.
