PITARO, Salvatore - Suddenly at the Ajax-Pickering Hospital on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 in his 80th year.
Survived by his wife of 55 years, Vincenzina, by his children, Mimmo, Lisa (Johnny) Gaspar and Joe (Janet).
Loving and devoted Nonno of Janelle and Jenna.
Sadly missed by his sisters Chiara (Domenico) and Caterina (Antonio), his brother Antonio (late Maria Teresa), late Giuseppe (Maria) and late Francisco (Florina), his sisters-in-law Caterina (late Vito), late Rosina (Late Giuseppe), late Pasqualina (late Giovanni), and his brothers-in-law Vito (Olga), Antonio (Macalata) and Domenico (Rosa).
Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Sam was a proud member of Union Local 183 for 51 years and was an avid gardener and loved mushroom picking.
Visitation will be held at the McEachnie Funeral Home, Ajax on Friday, June 8 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. ISAAC JOGUES ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH (1148 Finch Ave., Pickering) on Saturday, June 9 at 1:30 pm. Sam will be laid to rest following the service.
