SALDANHA, Desmond Ignatius - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest Desmond Saldanha (Son of the Late Alec Cajetan Saldanha and Orfelinda (Orfy) Eulalia Saldanha) at the age of 67, on Wednesday August 1st, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Carole Saldanha and loving daughters, Lindsey and Loriann.
Brother of Dr. Colin (Sheila) and Oswald (Norma) Saldanha. Brother-In-Law to Alan (Marie) and Celia (Leonard) and Uncle to Diane (Ryan), Warren, Jason, Russell, Jordan, Julian and Kimberly. Grand-Uncle to William and Maxwell.
The family would like to thank the Sunnybrook Hospital Critical Care team for all their excellent care, hard work and support over the last few weeks.
Family and friends will be received at McEachnie Funeral Home, Ajax on Friday August 3rd, 2018 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 1148 Finch Avenue Pickering at 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 4th, 2018.
The family is requesting in lieu of flowers donations be made to the St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, St. Vincent de Paul Society or a CHARITY organization of your choice. The family is sincerely thankful for your love and support.
