In his 69th year, he passed away for a second time on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2013 while at Ontario Shores in Whitby.
The first time he "died" was on Thursday, January 8th, 2004 due to cardiac arrest (in Barrie). The resulting brain damage he suffered due to oxygen deprivation lead to nearly 10 years of his not living a life that any of us would want for him. Although some of his behaviour changed due to this damage, there were still the glimpses of the funny and friendly man that we used to know and love. Now, he is finally at rest.
Loving brother of Ray (Liivi) and Gary; uncle to Darryl, Darlene and Tina. Lloyd will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by Kent and those others who knew he didn't die in 2004.
The consolation for those that grieve is to know he is at rest and no longer suffering or confused.
Kent wishes to thank (on behalf of Bruce and himself) the wonderfully caring, patient and supportive staff of Ontario Shores for their years of support.
Private family arrangements will take place.
If so inclined, in lieu of a memorial donation, please visit with (and, maybe, treat to a meal) someone who would benefit from some time and kindness.
Whether you raise a glass to toast Bruce's/Lloyd's memory or bow your head in prayer for him, please take a moment to remember something nice about this gentle, caring and talented man.
