AMIRAULT, Stephen Anthony Amirault - Obituary | Print |

AMIRAULT, Stephen Anthony -

Amirault_StephenJune 20, 1949 – March 25, 2013

Stephen, surrounded by love, slipped quietly into the arms of God on March 25, 2013.

He was predeceased by his father, Ernest James Amirault, on January 17, 1990; we know Dad was waiting for him with open arms! He will be lovingly and longingly remembered by his mother, Pearl, and his sisters; Dyan and Jocelyne, and her husband, Leonard. He was an uncle to Kevin (Theressa), Christian (Erica), and Korey (Michelle), and a great-uncle to Tyrus, Brody, Keeley, Payton, Raelyn, and Nevaeh.

As well, Stephen will be greatly missed by the staff and caregivers of Community Living Ajax – Pickering and Whitby with whom he has been connected since 1965. The loving care and affection expressed by these amazing people always went over and above their job descriptions; a fact for which we are truly grateful.

Our sincere thanks are extended to the Intensive Care Teams at Lakeridge Health Oshawa and The Scarborough Hospital – Birchmount Campus who provided Stephen with an outstanding level of care.

Stephen enjoyed a full life with family and friends – weekends at the lake, winters in Florida, motorcycle and snowmobile rides, wonderful pets, excursions, bowling, moon and star gazing, cruising, helicopter & airplane rides, listening to Elvis, playing his guitar as well as outings with his mother and their friend, Jackie. We would be remiss in not mentioning that he was a huge fan of McDonalds!

A Private Funeral Service was held at the NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. Bowmanville for family, close friends and caregivers.  Interment for Stephen has taken place at Bowmanville Cemetery, beside his father.

Instead of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to Community Living Ajax – Pickering and Whitby or to the CHARITY of your Choice.

We ask you to join us in celebrating Stephen’s life in your thoughts and prayers.
