Cherished grandmother of Michael and Lauren MacKinnon and Daniel and Allen Danchuk. Dear sister of Elsie Kuly (Paul) and the late Michael.

Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Sister-in-law of Irene Bak. Sylvia will be remembered for her commitment to family, volunteering at the Oshawa General Hospital, and her involvement in golfing at Country Lane with the ladies.

As per Sylvia’s wishes no service will take place.

Private interment at Oshawa Union Cemetery.

Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Wednesday June 11th 2014 at the age of 50, surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved son of Lois Ruff and the late Allan Ruff.

Step son of Cyril Clark. Dear brother of Angie and step-brother of Karen, Laurie, Candace, Tricia and Tim. Loving uncle of Jamie Lee Brayley and Cassie Johnston. Long-time loving partner of Brenda Worth.

Daniel will be missed by his four-legged companion Magic the black lab, his constant companion, the true love of his life. Despite his demons, Daniel was always willing to give and he had a very big heart. 

Friends and family are invited to visit MOUNT LAWN RECEPTION CENTRE, 21 Garrard Rd., Whitby (905-443-3376), on Sunday, June 15, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service in the chapel at 3:00 p.m.

Walker_JohnIt is with heavy hearts the family of Johnny Walker announces his passing on Wednesday June 11, 2014 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.  John Walker was in his 67th year.

Dear son of Ruth Walker and the late Alex Walker. Much loved brother of Jim Walker & his wife Kathy of Oshawa and Bob Walker & his wife Jan of Whitehorse.

Lovingly remembered by his nephew Adam Shetler & Danielle and their children Mason & Nola and by his niece Hannah Woodwalker and nephew Jack Woodwalker.

John was a tremendous community supporter and will be sadly missed by his many friends he made throughout his volunteer time with numerous associations.

He treasured his time as Administrator of The Officers Mess at Ontario Regiment.  John was a member of Ontario Regiment, Rotary Club of Oshawa, Past President 2006 and Paul Harris Fellow, and was Past President of the Oshawa Chamber of Commerce 2010.  He was an avid supporter of the cadets, 151 Chadburn Squadron.

Resting at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa.  Visitation will be held at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME on Sunday June 15th from 2pm to 4pm & 7pm to 9pm.  

The funeral service will take place at St. George's Memorial Anglican Church, 51 Centre Street North at Bagot Street, on Monday June 16th at 11am.  

(There is no parking at the Church, please allow yourself enough time to find available parking)

Tim leaves behind his Bride Janet of 34 years.  Proud Father of Philip (Rebecca), Jessica (Graham). Soon to be Grandfather of a precious granddaughter.

Son of the late Alcide and Pauline Mousseau.

Brother of Danny (Carrol-Jean), Paul (Diana), Paulette Leadbetter (Joe), Don (friend Sonyia). Son-in-law of Anneke and the late Peter Stroyan. Brother-in-law of John (Karen), Craig (Lisa). Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Tim will be missed by his many friends and family.

Passed away after a short but courageous battle with cancer on Monday, June 9, 2014 at the Ajax-Pickering Hospital in his 75th year. 

Predeceased by his beloved wife and soulmate, Orleen (2006). 

Loving Dad to Terry and his wife Laurie, Rick and his wife Diane, Dan and his wife Deb and Rodney.  Cherished “Pa” to Jenny, Mitch, Rebecca, Derek (Miranda), William, Jessica and Joey. 

Ken also leaves behind his first great-grandson, Brady.  Dear brother of Dave (Sylvia) and brother in-law of Alex (Rachel).  Predeceased by his sister, Ina Saunders.  He will also be sadly missed by his extended family and many friends. 

Ken will certainly be remembered by many as not only a well respected man but also a great husband, father, grandfather, brother, caregiver and friend. 

Service will be held in Port Perry on Friday, June 13th.

Passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Reachview Village Nursing Home, Uxbridge, in her 92nd year.

Dorothy is recently predeceased by her husband of 65 years, James Harald McKinney; sons Jim  (Linda) of Stouffville, Bill (Lillian) of Aurora, Bruce (Vicki) of Burlington; grandchildren James (Danielle) of Toronto, Steven (Cara) of Niagara Falls, Jennifer of Aurora, Kelly (Jason) of Lake Louise, Alberta and Tracy of Toronto, as well as her great-grandchildren: twins, Tom and Ali of Toronto. Dorothy also leaves behind relatives in Queenstown, New Brunswick along with many nieces and nephews in the areas of Saint John and Fredericton, NB, Toronto, Ottawa, Lake Rosseau and Hamilton. 

Dorothy was proud of a long career as a legal secretary, and always spoke fondly of her last employers, Sitzer and Sitzer. Born and raised in Toronto, ON. Dorothy also loved to play the piano, and was often asked to play for sing-alongs at parties, and family gatherings.

After her retirement in May 1981, Dorothy and Harald moved to Warkworth, ON, where they enjoyed many years of happy retirement, making many friends and attending many a country auction.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service for Dorothy is being planned for a later date.

Barbara, beloved wife of the late William.

 Loving mother of James, Debora & her husband John Gilpin and Keith & his wife Sara. Loving grandmother of Hayden, Grace and Maeve Nichol and Sarah Gilpin. Fondly remembered by her siblings Jack Olford, Catherine Hopper, Gertrude Olford, Tom Olford & his wife Joanne, Robert Olford and by her sister-in-law Madeline Olford.

Predeceased by her siblings Norman Olford, Marion Christensen, Thelma Olford and by her sister-in-law Ghislaine Olford.

Barbara, a life-time resident of Kapuskasing, Ontario will be affectionately remembered by her relatives as ‘Santa Barbara’ for her love of gift giving.

She enjoyed family gatherings and cherished her time spent with her extended family, including many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at the CLARINGTON OLDER ADULT CENTRE, 26 Beech Ave., Bowmanville on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 2 p.m.

ONeill_FrancisPassed away in Oshawa on June 7, 2014 at the age of 81 after a sudden, brief illness.

Frank is survived by his wife of 57 years Patricia (Pat), children Marylee and Greg. Biggest cheerleader and best friend to grandchildren Jeremy, Christopher and wife Katie, Auriel and Isobelle. Well known to be the best attentive person by all of the furry four-legged extended family members.

A longtime, loyal employee of GM of Canada, Frank was a graduate of St. Michael's (Toronto) and the University of Windsor.

In retirement, he championed community fundraising for the United Way and enjoyed winters with Pat on Florida's Satellite Beach. Youngest of five, Frank is predeceased by parents Leo O'Neill and Agnes Maude O'Connor, sisters Helen and Eileen and brothers Desmond and George.

Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 11th at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of the People Church, Oshawa.

In keeping with Frank's approach to enjoying family and friends, a reception will follow immediately after the service.

Formerly of Dundee, Scotland, dearly loved wife of Bill Price, adored mother of Craig (Stephanie) and Dianne (Scott), doting Nammy to Liam, Maeya and Keegan and loving sister of Alistair and Irene, died on Saturday, June 7, 2014 in Ajax, Ontario, Canada.

Mae was a breast cancer survivor and paddled on the Pink Sensations BC Survivor Dragon Boat team from Pickering.

She was also involved in the Camp Quality puppet show about children with cancer returning to school and as an advocate for newly diagnosed breast cancer patients in the Canadian Cancer Society program.

Mae was a retired Early Childhood Educator at Colwell Nursery School and taught children the social skills they would need later in life.

Mae will be sorely missed by her many friends and relatives in Scotland and Canada.
