Beloved husband of Barbara (Rennie) Sproule passed peacefully on Friday, January 23, 2015 after a brief illness.
Donald was born May 10, 1927 to Jessie (Rhynd) and Clarence Sproule in London, ON.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Barbara; daughter Christina Sproule Davis (Allen); sons Duncan Sproule (Amy) and Bruce Sproule (Lisa); grandchildren Benjamin, Orson, Zoey, Abigail and Colin. "Honorary" grandchildren Olivia and Joshua.
Also survived by sister Isobel Sproule, brother Kenneth and sister-in-law Dixie Sproule and nephew Michael (Lisa).
Don took great joy in singing. He was a member of Serenata Singers, Scarborough Village Senior Choir and the Fallingbrook Presbyterian Church Choir for 35 years. He was also very active in church work. Don was elder representative to the Presbytery of Pickering for many years.
Most recently Donald was honoured as Elder Emeritus and Choir Member Emeritus at Fallingbrook Presbyterian Church.
A Funeral Service for Donald will be held at Fallingbrook Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, January 27th at 1:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. Private Cremation.

It is with great sadness that David and Mark announce the death of their father Ronald Henry Switzer on Friday, January 23, 2015, at the age of 76.
As was his desire, Ron passed peacefully at home, after a day that included telling jokes and stories, comforted by the love of his family. Ron was a proud and loving father to Mark and David, and to David’s wife Sheila.
As “Bobo” to David’s girls Beatrix, Georgia, and Violet, he made great efforts to participate in their daily lives as long as he was able. Ron is survived by his sister Pat Harvey, and was an engaging, entertaining, and generous uncle and friend to his many nieces, nephews and cousins in Ontario, British Columbia and Florida.
His friends and former colleagues from Liberty Mutual Canada recall his humour and competitive nature fondly. Ron was predeceased by his wife of almost fifty years, Barbara Switzer in August of 2013.
He compassionately cared for her during her prolonged illness preceding her death. He will be greatly missed by his friends and fellow golfers in the communities of Ballantrae, Crystal Cove, Sliema, Horseshoe Valley, Toronto and Montreal.
Service in Uxbridge, on Friday January 30 and Saturday January 31. Private cremation will take place.
