John was an active member in many branches of the Masonic Orders including P.D.D.G.M. of Ontario District and a 33 degree Member in the Scottish Rite. John had a real love of his gardens, music and had a kind heart for everyone he met. He retired from GM after 32.9 years’ service.

Beloved husband of Dorothy MacMillan.

Loving father of Gary Beedham (Sandi), Richard Beedham (Sandy), Kathy (Richard Lackey) and Dr. Matthew Beedham (Samantha). Also survived by his grandchildren Brittany (Steve), Tyler (Meghan), Josh (Natalia), Madison, Ricky, Noah, John and Laura.

Brother of Mildred McIvor, Audrey Lewis and the late Phyllis Curtis. Brother-in-law of Leona Jackson and Lloyd Curtis.

The Funeral Service will take place at St. Paul’s United Church, County Road 18, Cold Springs, Thursday at 2 pm. Interment.

It is with profound sadness that the family announce the loss of a dearly loved husband, father and grandfather on Sunday, July 20th, 2014.

Danny lost his long fought battle with cancer in the arms of his beloved wife Carol of fifty seven years.

He is the very proud and loving father of Steven (Kris), and Christine (Wayne) Pettifer. Cherished and deeply loved Papa to Shannon (Brian) Bell, Lee (Emily) and Alicia Pettifer.

He will be forever missed by sisters-in-law Elaine (Royce) Weatherbee and Gloria MacInnes.

Also dear friends Helen Brown, Margaret and Andrew Hawkins and his faithful companion Lulu. In keeping with Danny’s wishes there will not be a service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Humane Society of Durham would be appreciated.

Bunny (nee Algar), in her 57th year, was the loving wife of Pat Deegan.

Much loved mother of Shannon and her husband Adam Wysotski of Courtice and Shawn and his wife Lyndsey of Pontypool.

Cherished gramma of Kellen. Treasured daughter of Don and Marg Algar of Lindsay. Dear sister of Ted Algar and his wife Marlene, Chris Algar and his wife Janice and Cathy Algar all of Lindsay. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. In keeping with Bunny’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the STODDART FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 24 Mill Street, Lindsay K9V 2L1 (705-324-3205) on Wednesday from 7-9 P.M. and on Thursday, July 24 from 1:00 P.M until time of a “Celebration of Life” service in the chapel at 2:00 P.M.

Interment at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay.

Stewart will be greatly missed by his special friend Catharine and many friends at The Court of Brooklin, and fondly remembered in the hearts of extended family and many friends.

CAMERON, James (Jim) Robert -

Cameron_JamesPassed away suddenly but very peacefully on Thursday, July 18, 2014 in his 84th year.

Jim was born in Glasgow in 1931, making Canada his home in 1954.

James began his long and distinguished career in Biomedical engineering at Toronto Western Hospital where he designed the first coronary unit and later, after moving to Sunnybrook Health Science Centre, contributed to opening Canada's first pacemaker clinic.

Jim was a pioneer as one of the first Biomedical Engineers in the country and designed, assisted and participated in many cardiovascular 'firsts.' He was a sought-after consultant, teacher, lecturer and author of numerous international publications.

James had a larger than life personality, never shied away from making his opinion known, loved to help others find solutions and was a person many relied on.

James will be sadly missed by his daughters, Carol (Paul) and Lynda (Mike), his grandchildren Kendall (Simon), Logan, Owen, Scott (Teri), Kristen, Christopher (Gihie), Nathan and family in Scotland. His wife of 57 years, Nancy, passed away only months ago and James missed her dearly.

A private cremation has taken place.

Together with his wife Nancy, Jim will make his last trip home to Scotland, accompanied by his daughters in August.

A Celebration of James' Life will be held at MOUNT LAWN RECEPTION CENTRE, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby (North of Hwy 2) 905-443-3376 on Saturday, July 26th at 10 am.

Loved mother of Steve (Linda), Rick (Sherrie) and Cheryl (Blair). Loving grandmother of Geoff, Justin, Brittany, Nicolas and Danielle. Gwen is survived by her sisters Pat Hirst, Yvonne Clark, June Mathews and her sister-in-law Enid Bryant, and she will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held on Saturday, July 19th. Interment, Prince Albert.

A celebration of Sally’s life will follow in the Barnes Chapel at 2 p.m. A reception will follow at the Brooklin Legion.

Dear father to Cynthia (Ed Sabo), and Bryan (Linda). Adored Poppa to Brett, Jake, Cameron and Carson. Predeceased by his brother Richard. Survived by siblings James (Lois) and Mary Gallagher. Albert will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Extendicare Oshawa for their care and compassion.

Ted was a well-known farmer in the Campbellford area and owner of Trout Creek Acres.

The Funeral Ceremony will be held at the Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church, 18 Fourth Ave., Trenton on Monday, July 21st at 11:00 am.  Interment in Warkworth.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
