Born in 1929 in Parksville, BC to Rev E.B. and Grace Arrol, Elsie passed peacefully in Oshawa, Ontario on Friday Nov 14, 2014 in her 86th year.
Predeceased by the love of her life P.G. Gale Moore in 2003 after 55 years of marriage. Survived by her children Ron (Colleen), Doug (Pat), Randy (Bev), Darlene Banavage (Noel), Brenda Ansley (Jeff), Barbara McWatters (Kevin), Ken (Kristine) and Daughter-in-Law Donna Moore.
Elsie blessed a multitude with her baking, hospitality and kindness. Possessing a strong faith and musical talent, she is remembered for participating in hundreds of hymn sings.
Elsie made everyone in her presence feel special and was lovingly proud of each of her children, her 18 Grandchildren and 11½ Great Grandchildren. She was a treasured Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews and a dear friend to many.
The family is grateful for the excellent care from the Trillium Trail staff at Hillsdale Estates in Oshawa.
The service will take place in Barrie on Monday, November 24. Private family interment will take place.

Sadly, and surrounded by his loving wife and children, Howard Stewart Lee passed away on November 13th, 2014.
Howard was a longtime resident of Unionville where he was a Real Estate Broker and developer and also a coach in the Unionville Minor Hockey League.
Amongst his numerous accomplishments was his Bronze Olympic Medal from the 1956 Olympics as a valuable member of the men's Canadian Hockey Team.
Howard's biggest passion in life was his family and the cottage in Haliburton, surrounded by Marg and all the kids and grandchildren.
He leaves his wife of 63 years Margaret. Children Debbi and the late Lorne, Cathi and Mike, Howie and Linda, Patti and Garry, Jim and Stephanie. Grandchildren Matthew, Lorne, Debbi-Lynne, Ryan, Sarah, Colt, Jessica, Maggie, Jaimi, Jake, Letisha, Jazmin, Rylee, Sydney, Kelsey, and Dylan. Howard also had four great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held in Uxbridge on Sunday, November 16th.

She was born in Morayshire, Scotland. Marg was a hardworking, clever and caring person. She served as a V.A.D. in WWII and then immigrated to Canada.
For most of her life she worked as a bookkeeper in Scotland and Canada, a job that she loved.
Beloved wife of the late Arnold Mooney, loving mother of Cheryl (Robert), Janet and Bill. She will be sadly missed by grandchildren Rob, David, Jennifer, Patrick, Sean, Mary, Janet and Dave. She will also be lovingly remembered by great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
With sad hearts the family wishes to share the sudden passing of Joan Ann Moore (nee Williams).
She passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Ajax Pickering Hospital. Loving wife of the late James Moore. Loving Mother of her children Michael, Melanie and Mandi. Greatly missed by sons in law Don (Melanie), Marc (Mandi) and Grandchildren Emily, Cameron, David and Adam. Loving sister to Norman, Carol and the late Albert.
She was a active member of the Pickering Seniors Club. Enjoyed volunteering at the front desk, attending her weekly craft club, participating in the fundraisers by providing knitted projects and attending functions at the club.

Pre deceased by his ex-wife Nancy, his parents Annie and Joseph, Brothers Ben (Leona), Ronnie and his sister Dot. He will be dearly missed by sisters Massie (Johnny) and MacCarroll (Edmund), his five children; John (Amanda), Joe (Mary), Darlene (Marc), Catherine (Bill), Linda (Darryll). Joe will also be missed by his numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren and his favorite cat Sierra and her sister Storm.
Born in Newcastle, New Brunswick April 25, 1931, he moved to Ontario with his new wife Nancy. He spent many years working in construction. He loved animals and even with pets at home was always quick to befriend a stray in need of a snack or just some loving attention.
He would stay up into the wee hours watching old movies, he loved all sports, with nothing dearer than his beloved Montreal Canadiens!

With his family by his side on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Lakeridge Health Port Perry, we delivered Richard into the waiting arms of those who predeceased him; his mother Isabell and father Fred along with his brother Bob.
Richard is survived by his wife Daniela Galante-Pye, son Allan (Kathleen), daughter Tonya (Scott), stepsons Paul (Zoe), Tony (Karyn), and Eric (Katie), and was Grandpa Pye to Alex, Anthony, Adam and Emma. He will be remembered always by his brothers Ted, and Wayne.
We are grateful for the care he received in the last weeks of his life from Home Care Lindsay and the Nurses and Doctors of Port Perry Hospital. Their kindness and support was unwavering.
Memorial visitation will be held in Lindsay on Tuesday, November 18th. As per Richard’s request, there will not be a Funeral Service.

It is with profound sadness that I announce the passing of my brother Greg.
He was the beloved son of Kay and Jack Reeves (both predeceased) and the adored Uncle of Mitchell (Joey Ip) and Madison (Trevor Allen). Greg will also be greatly missed by the new love of his life, Theresa White of Alliston.

Affectionately known as Shorty or Stormin' Norman, he was born on January 2, 1935 in Bowmanville ON. Raised in Courtice and Ajax but Lived in Oshawa for his adult life.
Predeceased by his parents Hugh and Ruth Short of Courtice.
Survived by his son and daughter-in-law Danny and Karen Short (nee Tanner) of Yellowknife NWT, his daughter and son-in-law Susan and David Jenkins recently of Invermere BC, his daughter Gail Short and her partner Steven Campney of Oshawa. His grandchildren Laura and Aaron Jenkins of Invermere and Tanner and Dylan Short of Yellowknife. Former husband of Donna Wood (nee Montgomery) of Oshawa.
Norman was a 35-year employee of General Motors of Canada, beginning his employment working on the Boy's Line and was a foreman on the Hardware Line in the Truck Plant when he retired. He also served on the Supervisors' Council during the later years of his employment.
An avid sportsman, outdoorsman and downhill skier, Shorty was a member of the Oshawa Ski Club for 57 years. He was awarded a Lifetime Membership for his service to the club. He was longtime member of the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance (CSIA) and was a former instructor and owner/director of the ski-snow school at the Oshawa Ski Club for a number of years. Norm loved nothing more than introducing people to the sport of downhill skiing.

Father Joseph McArdle, Jesuit, died peacefully on November 11th, 2014, at René Goupil House, Pickering, Ontario. He was in his 88th year and in religious life for 67 years.
Joe was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on October 13th, 1926, the son of James McArdle and Muriel Shee. The family moved to Montreal and Joe did all of his early education there, including at Loyola High School. He entered the Jesuits in Guelph on September 7th, 1947.
Joe was ordained priest on June 18th 1961. In 1971 he began his life-long apostolate of the Spiritual Exercises at Loyola Retreat House, Guelph. He continued this retreat ministry in British Columbia, (Vancouver, Nanaimo, Victoria) and Alberta (Calgary and Edmonton). Joe moved into St. Augustine's Seminary in Scarborough, Ontario, to become spiritual director to the seminarians.
He was a genuine priest who was well appreciated. He will be missed by his sister Monica, his brother Frank, his family, friends and fellow Jesuits.
Friends are invited to visit on Monday, November 17 from 7 – 9 p.m. at the St. Ignatius Chapel, Manresa Spiritual Renewal Centre, Liverpool Rd. North, Pickering, ON. Prayer service to be held at 8 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 o'clock on Tuesday, November 18th at the St. Ignatius Chapel, Manresa Spiritual Renewal Centre, Liverpool Rd. North, Pickering, ON.
