It is with great sadness that we announce after a lengthy illness and courageous battle, Felicia passed away on Thursday April 18, 2013 at the age of 85, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

Beloved wife of the late Gregory Waszczuk, mom and dad are together once again.

Loving Mother of Henry and his wife Mary, and Lynda Shody and her husband Jerry. Lovingly remembered Grams of Michael Waszczuk (Margaret), and Jessica Bean (Matt). Babcia of Tianna, Tyler, and Teagan Shody. Great-Grandma of Jeremey and Delilah. Felicia came to Canada in 1952, with her husband and son, to start a new life after the war.

She worked at Cole of California as a sewer, and then moved on to Chrysler, where she was employed until the death of her husband in 1980.

She worked very hard to give her family the best quality of life. Felicia was a very giving person, volunteering many hours for St. Hedwig’s Parish as a member of the Ladies Auxilliary, the Rosary Club and the Tatry Dance Ensemble.

She was also a long time member of the Polish Alliance Group 21. Those who knew Felicia, will remember her as a strong-willed but fun loving person, who helped so many people throughout her lifetime.

We would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for the care they gave her these last few days.

We would also like to extremely thank the doctors and nurses at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville for their excellent care for mom during her lengthy stay there.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rita, who with her loving family by her side, passed away peacefully April 15, 2013 at the young age of 68.

Rita moved to Sudbury from Italy in 1968 to marry her beloved Agostino.

She is survived by six siblings and countless extended family. Rita was a loving and devoted mother to Walter (Julie), Dennis (Kelly), Yvonne and Nadia and worked tirelessly to ensure her children had every opportunity to pursue their dreams.

Rita was a loving nonna to her 5 grandchildren: Luca, Darci, Grace, Mia and Josh, who were her treasures. Long hugs, chocolate chip cookies and walks to the park will be greatly missed.

In 2000, Rita and Agostino moved to Ajax to relocate Dolomiti Shoes from Sudbury to Pickering.

Passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday April 13, 2013, in his 88th year.

Beloved husband of Betty (nee Metcalfe) for 65 years.

Predeceased by his father Harry, mother Nina and sister Ena. Devoted father to Dave (Jackie), Peter (Bonnie), Nancy Hartwig (Dennis), Diane McCloskey (Michael) and Jim (Joan). He will be sadly missed by his 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Fay was a member and Past President of the Oshawa Rotary Club, member and Past President of the Ontario General Contractors Association and member and Past President of Durham Construction Association.

He was a Toronto Argonaut and Toronto Maple Leaf fan for many years and was a Founding Member of the Oshawa Hawkeyes.

Fay attended North Oshawa Public School, OCVI and Queens University. Fay cherished his German shepherd companions throughout his life.  

The Celebration of Fay Brooks life will be held at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa, on Thursday, April 18th at 2pm.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 17th from 2-4pm & 7-9pm.
