Survived by her son Stephen Sutherland and his wife Kim and grandsons Daniel and Lachlan and by her daughter Marg Parsons and her husband Jeff and grandson Mackenzie and his wife Jennifer and great-grandchildren Sierra and Wade and grandson Fraser and his fiancée Jaime Tonner.
Predeceased by her son Douglas Sutherland and her brother Ron Beals. Dear sister-in-law of Jesusa Del Carpio of Lima, Peru. Joyce graduated from University of Toronto Sick Children's Nursing 1956, University of Toronto BSC Nursing 1974.
Joyce served as a Public Health Nurse until 1983 when she established Blackfield Holsteins in Sunderland, ON. She enjoyed the country lifestyle and looking after her family. She will be dearly missed by all.

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of ALAN CARL FICE announce his sudden passing on Friday November 8, 2013 at the age of 78, at Peterborough Regional Health, after a short illness.
He is predeceased by his first wife of 53 years, Nancy Kathaleen Rena Fice (Roberts) in 2007; parents Carl Cale Fice and Mary Irene Fice (Shortridge); sisters Joan Fice (Johnson) and Lynn Fice (Prince). Alan is survived by brothers Gary Fice (Judy) of Oshawa and Brian Fice (Lila) of Courtice.
ALAN was a loving, dedicated and compassionate husband and father. He is survived by his dearly beloved wife, Judy Fice (Clement) of Fenelon Falls. He also leaves behind his cherished and loving children; daughter and son-in-law Pauline and Victor Galea of Janetville as well as daughter Joanne Racioppo and son Terry Fice, both of Young’s Point.
ALAN was a respected and honoured Papa who enjoyed spending time with his many grandchildren including Daniel, Jenna, Joseph and Dayna Galea; Carl and his wife Jenn Racioppo (and his great grand-children Ryan, Mike and Joey); Nigel Racioppo and Brittany Fice.
ALAN was a huge presence in the lives of his sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was affectionately known as Uncle Al and Big Al.
ALAN is also fondly remembered by the family and friends of his wife Judy Fice (Clement). Alan and Judy had recently celebrated their first anniversary but had been known to each other for many years as the connection between the Fice, Roberts and Clement families has spanned many decades.
ALAN was a long-time resident of Oshawa and then of Bailieboro where he lived for many years on the Otonabee River. As a self-employed carpenter, he spent his life building, renovating and repairing homes and cottages all over southern Ontario. He was jovial, kind-hearted man who amassed numerous friends and acquaintances everywhere he went and worked, and will be missed by all who knew and admired him. He was an amazing speaker and entertained all who crossed his path with stories and jokes galore.
We are truly blessed and thankful to have had Alan to share this life with us.

70, of London, Ontario, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 8, 2013.
Al (a.ka. Gerard) was born on June 29, 1943 in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, to John Charles and Margaret (Peggy) MacKinnon. Raised in Lanark Co., the son of the respected local barber and farming family, Al moved to Toronto, Ontario and joined the Toronto Police Service in his early twenties. He served in various divisions, with his greatest love being the time he served in the Mounted unit. After leaving the force he moved back to Nova Scotia for a period of time, but later returned to Ontario where he pursued a long career in the private security industry – primarily with The Toronto Star Newspaper and until his death, Guardsmark, servicing Blackberry in Waterloo. He never forgot his rural roots and enjoyed camping and spending time in the country or visiting with his children and grandchildren.
Al is survived by his three children, Alexander MacKinnon, John Charles (Sheri) MacKinnon and JoAnne (Brent) Daynard; four grandchildren, Brandon Daynard, Connor Daynard, Haley MacKinnon and Lindsey MacKinnon; and nephews, niece and great nephews and nieces in Carlton Place, Ontario.
Several people touched Al’s life, including Shirley, Barb, Renny, and Shelley. He will also be sadly missed by his many cousins in Antigonish, N.S.
He was preceded in death by his parents and only brother, Doug MacKinnon. Al loved greatly and was much loved in return.

Gail's interests included the genealogy of the family clans, sewing, knitting and in her retirement, quilting. All this while co-producing the transformation of S.S. No. 9, the Yellow School to our family home.
