May CarlMAY, Carl Kenneth (Ding) - Passed away at Milton District Hospital on Monday September 18, 2017 at the age of 87.

Beloved husband of 61 years to Lois Dafoe. Loving father of Patricia (Dean), Cathy (J.B.), Steven and Shelley (Dave). Grandfather to Janet, Andrew, Kristine, Patricia, Heidi, Jarrett and Josh. Great grandfather to Brianna and Creston.

Predeceased by brothers Jim, Charlie, Jack and Eugene and by sisters Pearl, Helen and Betty.  Also sadly missed by sister-in-law Della and many nieces and nephews.

Carl was a volunteer firefighter for 20 years and served as president of the association for two terms.  He also was employed by the Town of Milton for 27 years.

Predeceased by his loving wife Maria do Carmo de Sousa.

Primeau MabelPRIMEAU, Mabel Irene (nee Holland) - (September 10, 1932 - September 16, 201) -

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mabel Irene Primeau (nee Holland). She passed away quietly at her home of 52 years with her husband, David, by her side.

Mabel’s journey began September 10, 1932 in Thorold where she was born into a large family. She is survived by her adored brothers, Don, Bob, Jim, and Howard, and predeceased by Clifford, Marg, Betty, and Jack.

A graduate of Elizabeth Arden Beauty school in Toronto, Mabel later worked at Potter & Shaw in St. Catharines. She married David Primeau in 1959 and moved shortly thereafter to Deep River.

 

SHARPE, C. Richard 'Dick' - Passed away peacefully in the early hours of Saturday, September 16, 2017 surrounded and embraced by his family, at the Ian Anderson Hospice in Oakville, Ontario.

Beloved husband of Peggy, devoted father of Lisette (Gregory MacDonald), David (Stacey Douglas), Kate (Tara Ferguson) and Sarah (Mark Renzoni).

Dick was born in St. Catharines, Ontario in 1925 to James Walter Sharpe, born 1890, Sheffield England, and Anna Beatrice Clark, born 1892 Merritton, Ontario.

 

DEDRICK, Vernit Howard 'Vern' - (December 7, 1929 – September 15, 2017) -

It is with heavy hearts but an abundance of beautiful memories that the family announces the peaceful passing of Vern, surrounded by the love of his family at the Joseph Brant Hospital, on Friday, September 15, 2017 at the age of 87.

Beloved and devoted husband of Beverley for 65 wonderful years. Loving father of Mark, Debby Boutcher and Mike (Marla).

Predeceased by his sisters Helen and Mary.

Beloved husband of the late Margaret (nee Wedgewood).  Dear step-father of Bryan Perdue (Nancy), Lyle Perdue (Bev), the late Dennis Perdue (Sue), and Debbie Young (Bill).

Grandpa Roy to eleven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by his brothers  Gord, Harvey and Carl and his special friend Margaret. Roy will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and many friends, especially Darlene and Stan Joyce.

Survived by his sister Evangeline and his brother Murray.

Predeceased by two wives, Hilda, and Jewel.

 

Burton DonaldBURTON, Donald Harry Stanley - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald on Friday, September 15, 2017 at the age of 92.

Wonderful husband and constant companion of Joyce for almost 33 years. Devoted and cherished Dad of Paul (Mary), Lesley Burton-Solari (the late Jim) and Jane Burton. Donald was also the loving step-dad of Laura Mair (Ben) and Linda Hunwicks (John).

Donald was the proud Ganddad of four and Grandpa Don of five as well as the Great Grandpa Don of two great grandchildren.

Donald will be missed by his sister Irene Wolfe (Gerald). He is predeceased by his first wife Margo (1982) and by his sister Joan Morrell.

Born in Mattawa, Ontario in 1924, he moved to Toronto and married Ange-Aimée Boucher in 1955, who predeceased him in 1994.

Proud father of four children André (Maureen), Alain (Adele), Linda Muffitt (David) and Shirley Kmecz (Andrew). Loving grandfather to Gerald, John, James and Matthew.

Longtime resident of 3 Hyde Park Drive, Georgetown, including over 10 years as security personnel. Albert was known for his generosity, assistance to other residents in the building and his kindness overall.

Beloved wife of the late Frances Gomez and dear mother of Victor, Michael (Jamie), Lawrence and Patricia (Todd).

Loving grandmother to Daryl (Allysa), Victoria (Corbin), Ashleigh, Justine, Matthew, and Francisco. Cherished great-grandmother of Keira.

 

Ford DanFORD, Daniel Joseph 'Dan' - (November 9, 1929 - September 14, 2017) - Died peacefully in his sleep in Oakville, Ontario at his daughter’s house, surrounded by his family.

He leaves his beloved wife Barbara, six children; Kevin, Dennis (Kim), Danny (Denise), Shelagh (Nick Karstoff), Brenda (Paul Barrington) and Keith, and two sisters, Marianne (brother in law Larry Havers) and Rosemary (brother in law Tom Watson (deceased).

He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren (Scott, Brooke, Michael, Emily, Rebecca, Carly, Sophie, Sean, Liam, Alexa).

Dan Ford was born in Hamilton, Ontario, and spent most of his married life in Oakville, Ontario.  With a twinkle in his eye and a quick sense of humor, he spent 36 years as an advertising executive at the Globe and Mail in Toronto.

Pauline, beloved wife of the late Leslie Etherington (2010).

Dear mother of Jane Etherington, Moira Etherington (Joe Sebastiao) and the late Sheila Joan Etherington. Cherished grandmother of Colin, Emma and Sarah and extended grandchildren Alyssa and Ryan. Her pride and joy.

Pauline will be sadly missed by Fred Etherington (late Sheila) and family, David and Laura Kothe and friends. She was predeceased by her brother Malcolm and sister-in-law Lily Kothe and niece Deborah Kothe, and brother-in-law Raymond Etherington.

Donald worked for many years at the Halton Board of Education. People were drawn to Donald for his easy going manner and great sense of humour. Donald will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
